GM9907-L6 / L6D Liquid Filling Controller

Precision liquid filling for food & beverage, chemical and coating industries
The GM9907-L6 (single nozzle) and L6D (dual nozzle) is a dedicated liquid filling controller built for drum, IBC, jerry-can and bottle filling lines. The user interface adapts automatically to single or dual nozzle configuration, with dual-speed filling and feed control for stable, repeatable accuracy across food and beverage, chemical, paint, lubricant and coating applications in South Africa.

VARIANTS

Choose single nozzle (L6) or dual nozzle (L6D): same controller, adaptive interface

The GM9907 liquid filling controller is available in two configurations. The hardware is identical; the firmware adapts the user interface based on whether one or two filling nozzles are connected. This means a single SKU covers single-line and dual-line filling stations.

Feature GM9907-L6 (single nozzle) GM9907-L6D (dual nozzle)
Filling configuration One nozzle, one fill cycle at a time Two nozzles, independent or simultaneous fill
UI adaptation Single-channel display Dual-channel display with per-nozzle status
Recipe storage Up to 20 recipes for different liquid products Up to 20 recipes per channel
Fill speed control Automatic dual-speed (coarse / fine) fill Per-nozzle dual-speed control
Front-end integration Feed control to pump or supply valve Independent feed control per nozzle
I/O 12 inputs / 16 outputs (shared) 12 inputs / 16 outputs (allocated per nozzle)

How to choose

Choose the L6 for single-station filling lines: manual drum filling, single-head bottling, IBC and jerry-can stations with one filling point.

Choose the L6D for dual-station filling lines: higher throughput, two parallel fill points, or two different products being filled simultaneously.

Typical industries

Food and beverage: syrup, juice concentrate, oils, sauces. Chemicals: solvents, detergents, agrochemicals, acids/bases (specify compatible materials). Paint and coatings: emulsion paint, resins, inks, lubricant oils. The Modbus-TCP interface integrates fill records with batch traceability and ERP.

The liquid filling controller GM9907-L6 (single-nozzle) and L6D (dual-nozzle) are designed for net-weight filling of drums, IBCs, jerry-cans and bottles with industrial liquids. Dual-speed control combines a high-speed coarse fill stage with a slow trickle fill at the end of each cycle, delivering consistent net weights across viscous oils, aqueous chemicals, food liquids and water-based products in South African packaging plants.

Dual-speed accuracy for liquid net-weight filling

Liquid filling demands two phases: a high-flow coarse stage to get the product into the container quickly, and a low-flow trickle stage to land on the target weight without overshoot from the in-flight column of liquid. The GM9907-L6 controller manages both phases automatically. It tracks the weight signal continuously, switches from coarse to fine at the configured cutoff weight, and learns the free-fall compensation across consecutive fills so accuracy improves as the production run progresses.

Single nozzle vs dual nozzle

The L6 controls a single fill nozzle for one fill station at a time, used on benchtop semi-automatic fillers, on inline single-station fillers and on drum-filling lines. The L6D drives two independent nozzles in parallel for higher-throughput packaging lines, each with its own cutoff and trickle parameters so two different container sizes can be filled simultaneously, or two containers of the same size can be filled per cycle to double line throughput.

Frequently asked questions

What container sizes does the GM9907-L6 support?

From jerry-cans (typically 5-25 L) through drums (60-210 L) up to IBCs (1000 L). For very small bottle filling (under 1 L) a different controller class is usually a better fit, since the cycle dynamics at small fill weights are different from drum-and-IBC filling.

Can the L6 handle viscous products like oils and syrups?

Yes. The dual-speed cutoff is adjustable to handle the slower trickle-stage flow that viscous liquids require. We help configure the coarse/fine cutoff parameters during commissioning based on the actual product viscosity and pump capability at your site.

What is the difference between L6 and L6D?

The L6 drives one fill nozzle, the L6D drives two parallel nozzles. Pick the L6D if your packaging line needs two fill stations running simultaneously: either two containers of the same size for higher throughput, or two different sizes (e.g. a 25L jerry-can line and a 200L drum line running off the same controller).
